Deliciously healthy, seabass with vegetables from the oven

If you follow the Ikigai way of life, healthy eating is part of it. The rule of thumb is never to eat more than 80%. So stuffing your stomach is not part of it. It is also important to eat a healthy and nutritious diet. A tasty fish with vegetables is part and parcel of this.

Like this sea bass with vegetables from the oven.
An ideal dish for when you have dinner guests. It is easy to prepare in advance, which gives you time to have a nice chat with your guests.

See below for how to prepare it.

For 2 people:
2 sea bass
3 turnips
Bunch of Tasty Tom tomatoes
Garlic
Pepper & salt
Lemon
Olive oil
Baking paper

Take an oven dish and cover it with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

We bought the sea bass at the local weekly market. One sea bass of about 400-450 grams per person. At the market, we ask them to be prepared “ready to eat”, so that the intestines are out.
We rinse the fish under the tap inside and out and pat it dry.

Thinly slice the garlic
Cut the lemon into thin slices

Stuff the fish with the garlic and lemon and place a few slices of lemon on the fish. Also lay a bed of lemon slices and garlic on the baking paper so that the flavour is absorbed into the oil.
Then we put the fish on this bed.

Peel the winter carrots, cut them into 10 cm pieces and cut them in half lengthwise. If they are thick, make sure the pieces are no thicker than 1 cm, otherwise they will be too hard.
Place them around the fish.

Place the tomatoes still on the vine on the baking paper.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper and, if necessary, put some extra garlic on the baking sheet. Then pour generous amounts of olive oil over the whole thing.

Slide the baking tray into the middle of the oven. Your dish will be ready after 25-30 minutes!

Enjoy your meal!
