Pictures of the production process
WOVEN STRIPES FABRIC which is 100% Recycled AND 100% Recyclable
Herewith the process in a nutshell: Plastic cement bags are collected from constructions. They are washed in tanks first before taking them in a Drum machine. These bags first get shredded.
Those shredded fibers are mixed & melted & drawn out to make recycled plastic granules .
These recycled plastic granules are mixed with color & put in a hopper and then melted in electric furnace and thin mono filament wire are drawn and are cooled over a water bed to form the recycled plastic filament threads.
These recycled plastic threads are put on warping beams. Those beams are loaded onto semi powerlooms and woven into tapes & fabrics . Fabric width is max 40cm
From these fabrics beautiful new items can be made.
As we encourage the recycling of materials we are happy to add this collection of recycled bags to our assortment. We hope you like them as much as we do!
